"For those who can't wait for the release of the new “1” and “1+” CD/DVD packages in early November, The Beatles gave a little preview of what's to come Oct. 20 with a look at one of the new videos. Revolution was posted today on VEVO and can be seen on this page. News of the new video leaked out a few days ago and more are to come.
"For those only familiar with the single version on the other side of Hey Jude, the new video is taken from a mono TV broadcast that has some differences in the vocals from the record. Paul McCartney and George Harrison add some “shooby doo wop” harmonies. And after John Lennon sings the line “When you talk about destruction, don't you know that you can count me out,” he quickly adds the word “in” just after it. McCartney also trades some emphatic “You know it's gonna be” lines to Lennon's vocals."
"According to “The Beatles Film & TV Chronicle 1961 - 1970,” the group actually taped two nearly identical versions of Revolution that have some minor camera and vocal differences. The first version is the more common. The second version was used in The Beatles Anthology."
