In this interview with Dusty Springfield, Paul says he does not pluck his “well-shaped” eyebrows.
When he answers the question about it, he “nods yes”, but “says no”.
How does a man have no stray hairs under or between his brows? Even women must pluck to have the nice shaping.
Come on, where’s the hair between
the eyebrows that everybody has?
A lot of male actors have their brows shaped and tweezed. Was he lying, was there anything to hide or be ashamed of? If he does pluck, is he effeminate? I don't personally care one way or the other about it, but in the '60's, that was something to stay 'under cover' about. Is that what he’s trying to hide by saying “no”? Would all of the Pauls have given the same answer? If he doesn’t pluck, is he alien? Maybe those are ‘press-on’ brows, too…
